Innovative Solutions
Current Situation and Drawbacks:
The current Algerian transport system suffers from fragmentation: a specific ticket for the metro, another for the tram, cash for private buses. This generates queues, time loss, and operational inefficiency. This field was previously reserved for only ten global giants.
Our Technological Solution Baya:
Baya is a patented multimodal IoT ticketing system, fully developed by our startup, challenging the dominance of global industrial giants who were working alone in this field.
Technical Aspect:
- Virtual Wallet and Integrated Payment: Innovative virtual wallet that can be linked with Baridi Mob and CIB and NFC banking cards. Recharging is simplified via mobile phone (Flexy transport) to provide maximum access for citizens.
- Local Equipment: We design and produce our own equipment locally: validation devices integrated into buses and trains, smart gates, automatic distribution terminals (PDC) and simplified point-of-sale (POS). We plan for 3 local production lines.
- Full Integration: The system transparently manages complex pricing rules for metro, tram, buses, cable car, and suburban train.
Future Deployment:
Deployment will begin in Algiers, with the aim of rapid integration of all public transport operators, and in a second phase, private buses, to provide seamless mobility for all citizens with a single transport ticket.
